It started at home.
Aakash is a father of two young children. Between work and raising kids, he realized that a camera alert still left him with a job to do: open the app, figure out what was happening, and decide whether to go outside.
He wanted a security system that could take the next step. A robot that could check the yard, investigate activity near the gate, and help him respond while he stayed with his family. He founded North AI to build Maximus.
Aakash was Head of Product for Consumer Devices & Experiences at Amazon Ring, where he launched three hardware devices. He previously led products at Amazon Alexa and Thrive Market, and product commercialization at CleanRobotics. He brings that experience to a problem he understands as a parent and homeowner.

What to know.
Which homes is Maximus for?
We are designing Maximus for the outdoor areas of single-family homes: front yards, driveways, side passages, and backyards. Property fit will depend on access, terrain, steps, and room to move. Those requirements will be published as the product develops.
How will it handle outdoor conditions?
Our development priorities include outdoor mobility, weather tolerance, safe movement around people and pets, and recovery after a disturbance. Tested operating limits will define where and when Maximus can work.
When can I buy one?
